The Missouri Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity.
Mission
Supporting speech-language pathology and audiology students advancing the scholarship and study of speech-language-hearing sciences in Missouri.
These goals are achieved through affiliation with the
Missouri Speech-Language-Hearing Association
Programs
The Foundation's programs expand scholarship, research, mentoring, and leadership opportunities for students studying speech, language, and hearing sciences.
Goal: To prepare groups of diverse student leaders to work cooperatively through leadership training and civic education in order to advance speech-language pathology and audiology services in Missouri.
Goal: To mentor graduate students from under-represented ethnic minority groups to enter the fields and advance speech-language pathology and audiology services among diverse populations.
Goal: To promote student research and best practice analyses presented through both poster sessions and technical seminars that educate professionals on up-to-date methods and techniques.
Goal: To bolster graduate student preparations for the national examination in speech-language pathology by showcasing student knowledge and skills as future clinicians during the annual quiz bowl competition.
Goal: For seasoned professionals to mentor graduate students and entry-level professionals through clinical and/or research support in order to advance and inform clinical practice.
